About Wedding Checklist

We Built the Wedding Planning Tools We Wished We'd Had

Wedding Checklist is a free suite of wedding planning tools including checklists, budget calculators, vendor trackers, guest management, and wedding day timelines. Every tool is designed to make the next planning decision clearer, calmer, and easier to act on.

Our Mission

Wedding planning should feel manageable, not punishing

Wedding planning should be one of the most exciting seasons of your life. Too often, it turns into a project management problem disguised as a romantic milestone. Couples are asked to make expensive decisions quickly, compare vendors with incomplete information, and keep track of dozens of deadlines that all seem urgent at once.

The problem is not that couples are incapable of planning a wedding. The problem is that most of the tools available to them are either too generic to be useful, too fragmented to stay organized, or too expensive for something that will only be used for a year.

Wedding Checklist exists to fix that. Our mission is simple: give every couple access to practical, trustworthy planning tools that reduce noise and increase confidence, one checklist, budget view, vendor record, and timeline at a time.

What We Build

Free tools for the decisions that actually matter

Wedding Checklist is a focused suite of wedding planning tools. We do not sell venue placements, take vendor commissions, or hide the useful features behind a recurring subscription. The job is straightforward: build tools that help couples decide what to do next and make them accessible from the start.

Today, the tools save progress locally in the browser by default. Several tools also support exports, so you can bring the work into meetings, share it with family, or hand it off to vendors when you need an offline copy.

Why We Built This

We got tired of watching smart people plan from scattered tabs

We kept seeing the same pattern. Couples would start with excitement, open a few articles, save a few spreadsheets, and then hit the same wall a week later: where do we actually begin, what matters first, and how do we know whether we are spending in the right places?

The resources on the market usually fell into two extremes. On one side were generic blog posts that listed tasks without any real structure. On the other side were polished all-in-one platforms that asked couples to pay monthly for features they might only need for a short season of life.

Neither approach felt right. Couples did not need more content for content's sake. They needed a way to translate planning advice into concrete next steps. They needed a budget view that showed trade-offs clearly, a checklist that respected timing, and a vendor tracker that kept quotes, payments, and contract questions from disappearing into inboxes and text threads.

So we built the tools we wished had existed when that first wave of planning stress hit. Not theoretical tools. Not investor-deck tools. Working tools that answer the questions couples ask in the first month, the sixth month, and the final week before the wedding.

Wedding Checklist started from a very plain belief: clarity should not be a luxury feature. A couple should not have to hire a planner, buy a template pack, or subscribe to a premium dashboard just to get a sensible order of operations and a realistic view of their budget.

Who We're For

Built for couples planning in the real world

Wedding Checklist is built for couples planning their own wedding, whether they are doing nearly everything themselves or working alongside a coordinator, planner, or venue team. The tools are especially useful when the planning work needs structure before it needs decoration.

We also hear from planners, coordinators, and venue managers who use these tools as a clearer starting point for client conversations. The common thread is simple: people want a planning system that is practical enough to use on a weekday night after work, not just inspirational enough to bookmark.

Just Engaged

You just got engaged and the planning process feels bigger than expected. Start with a checklist and a clear first decision.

Budget Focused

You know your overall number, but not how to split it. Use the budget calculator to make trade-offs visible early.

Detail Oriented

You want a working system, not a vague article. Our tools are built to keep decisions, notes, and timing connected.

Our Principles

The standards behind the product

01

Free by default

Core planning tools are free because good planning support should not depend on who can afford a premium platform.

02

No vendor bias

We do not rank vendors based on commissions or paid placements. The goal is better decisions, not steering users toward sponsors.

03

Practical over performative

We care more about whether a tool removes confusion than whether it sounds impressive in a marketing headline.

04

Honest about trade-offs

Some categories are flexible. Some are not. We explain where cutting costs is reasonable and where it usually creates regret.

05

Updated as planning realities change

Wedding costs, timelines, and workflow expectations move over time. We revise copy and tool logic when the guidance needs to change.
